FINANCIAL LITERACY
Practical, money workshops covering budgeting, debt, saving and investing over 4 weeks, designed to help you feel more confident, informed and in control of your finances.
Our free 4‑week Financial Literacy Workshops give participants a clear, motivating roadmap to take control of their money and plan for the future. Each week focuses on a key theme, using real-life examples, interactive activities and open conversation to make finance simple, relevant and engaging
What the workshops cover

-
Week 1 – Money mindset & budgeting
Explore attitudes to money, common traps, and what “taking control” really looks like. Learn how to build a simple budget, track income and spending, and find small changes that make a big difference. By the end of the session, each participant creates a basic personal budget they can actually use.

-
Week 2 – Debt, credit & staying out of trouble
This week breaks down debt, credit cards, buy-now-pay-later and overdrafts in a clear, non‑judgemental way. Learn the difference between “good” and “bad” debt, how interest works, what credit scores are, and practical steps to avoid problem debt or start dealing with it if it is already an issue.

-
Week 3 – Saving, goals & emergency funds
Set short‑ and long‑term money goals, from small purchases to bigger dreams like driving lessons, travel or starting a business. The session covers saving strategies, emergency funds, and how to build habits that stick, even on a low income. Everyone leaves with a simple, realistic savings plan tailored to their situation.

-
Week 4 – Introduction to investing & future planning
The final week introduces investing in a safe, accessible way – explaining risk, reward and the power of starting early. Look at different ways to grow money over time and think about pensions, side incomes and building financial independence. The focus is on informed choices, not “get rich quick” schemes.
