A LITTLE HISTORY...
Set up back in 2017 to support people in community gain skills and find sustainable employment it started through its most successful and long running project - DO YOU ENTREPRENEUR - that educates youth on the merits of self-start ups as viable business opportunities.

From 2017 our organisation has supported the community with information, advice and guidance on career paths through the delivery of various workshops to build confidence and work related skills for participants. Through group and one to one interventions Skills Development Training has enabled more people to be job ready and self sustainable through paid employment.

The trustees' combined experience in various disciplines intrinsically recognises the barriers and challenges young people who are unemployed, disadvantaged and disenfranchised face. It is with this deep understanding of the local issues communities face that our strategies on overcoming barriers via effective interventions, signposting and networking stand.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our aim is to support local communities through a variety of mentoring services aimed at tackling the shortage of skills and training in youth across London to improve prospects for achieving greater aspirations. Through the provision of tailored, bespoke information, advice and guidance we will:
​Focus on youth
Develop adults
Explore and identify interests and goals
Identify, understand, overcome and eliminate barriers
Build relationships with other community partners
Work to create a sustainable and development plan for the future

OBJECTIVES 2024
Skills Development Training's key objective in 2022 is to explore, build and foster greater relationships in the community and further provide much needed life skills and support post lockdown that will improve standards in the community.
