Since our launch in 2017, Skills Development Training has been working hard to promote our causes. While there is always more that can be done to help those in need in our community, there’s no doubt that we are making a significant impact. See how you can become part of the difference.
Our Story
Set up back in 2017 to support people in community gain skills and find sustainable employment it started through its most successful and long running project - DO YOU ENTREPRENEUR - that educates youth on the merits of self-start ups as viable business opportunities.

From 2017 our organisation has supported the community with information, advice and guidance on career paths through the delivery of various workshops to build confidence and work related skills for participants. Through group and one to one interventions Skills Development Training has enabled more people to be job ready and self sustainable through paid employment.

The trustees' combined experience in various disciplines intrinsically recognises the barriers and challenges young people who are unemployed, disadvantaged and disenfranchised face. It is with this deep understanding of the local issues communities face that our strategies on overcoming barriers via effective interventions, signposting and networking stand.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a world where Black youth have equal access to opportunity and are empowered to reach their fullest potential. We strive to build a movement of Black-focused and Black-led communities that create pathways for success and a brighter future. We focus on empowering Black youth to develop skills, knowledge and leadership qualities that enhance their opportunities for success, while also working to empower and enable the wider community to thrive, independently from systemic and structural disadvantages that limit opportunities for positive development. We are committed to creating an environment that values diversity, inclusion and equity for Black people in all aspects of life.

Sikiru Oshungbure
Founder, Trustee
Sikiru believes in giving back by making change. Through his pragmatic approach, Sikiru combines commericial acumen and project design to define a vision and purpose.
As a trustee, Sikiru focuses on business development, project design, tendering and service delivery.
Ade Adebowale
Founder, Trustee
An 10+ year experienced employability veteran, ex-business banker and staunch believer in social entreprenialism, Ade uses his expertise to provide mentoring and learning services for local communities.
As a Trustee, Ade supports project design, delivery, service management and infrastructure.
